About YogaByNicola

Hi, I am Nicola.

I have been practicing yoga since I was 17, yoga becomes a way of life. It has helped me keep in shape physically as well as balance my mind, body and soul. Uniting them together to help keep mentally focused through stressful situations and a busy working life.
My original professional background was in the travel industry. From 2007 I started changing my outlook on life by studying and retraining within the yoga and holistic therapies industry. I started by taking a A/S level in Psychology as I have always been interested in psychology and how people behave for example with their diets and obsessions / addictions. I have met many people who have used yoga to battle through not only stressful situations in their lives but recovering from various illnesses be this mental or physical. I believe when the mind, body and soul is united we live from the inside out and we become better and happier people.

I enjoy sharing this with others through my therapies and yoga. Bringing peace and harmony to their lives, lifts and inspires me to work harder and give more.

After having my first child in 2014 I sadly stopped providing holistic therapies to concentrate on my various yoga classes.

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years and have been taught by many experience teachers around the world.

I did my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Julian 'Daizan' Skinner at The Zenways Yoga School in April 2010 - Registered with Yoga Alliance.

In September & December 2012 I took a pregnancy teacher training course with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Lisa white at Yoga Campus London.

Then Mum and Baby Postnatal Yoga with Yoga gro in October 2013.

I trained with Janine Hurley at Yoga campus London in Hypno yoga for birth in 2016.

I continue my professional learning with CPD, workshops and other courses, such as Yoga and the pelvic floor with Leslie Howard 2020, Yoga for sleep recovery and Insomnia teacher training with Lisa Sanfilippo 2021 and Bandhas: Gateways to the Yoga Body with tias Little in 2022.

I am currently attending Yoga Campus, Yoga & Somatics for Healing & Recovery with Charlotte Watts.

I have been teaching Hatha Zen yoga since 2010 in and around my local area, in my own classes, gym classes and private classes.

I have had the privilege to guide hundreds of pregnant ladies through their pregnancy's since 2013 and have taught Mum & Baby Postnatal classes since 2015.

In 2019 I did a mindfulness CPD training.

During 2020 and Covid 19 lockdown I took the opportunity to practice Yoga with some super talented Yogi's and trainers such as Katy Appleton, Kino Macgreggor and Lisa Sanfilippo, I have thoroughly enjoyed many classes with them. I have also attended some workshops to increase my knowledge and learning with John Stirk, Matthew Sandford and Leslie Howard.

I will continue to study so both myself as a teacher and my clients can evolve and grow. I am incredibly lucky to be able to share my passion and yoga with so many lovely people.

I have also trained in Thai Yoga Therapy in November 2008 at The White Lotus Foundation in California by Pheobe Diftler.
Hot Stones Therapy in 2010, Thai Foot Massage (reflexology) and The ancient art of Threading in 2011.
I also hold a BSY qualification in Anatomy and Physiology. I have taken two diet and nutrition courses.

I do look forward to welcoming you into class ....
